CA-CRaFT Program Update
Keep an eye out for grower applications, available soon for the California Citrus Research and Field Trials (CA-CRaFT) project. This project is designed to demonstrate in commercial citrus groves how additional mitigations can improve Asian citrus psyllid control across the various citrus growing regions in California. Support will be available to growers accepted by the program to implement additional mitigations. Information collected will demonstrate the benefits of additional mitigation measures and inform areawide control efforts for regional, state, and national benefit.
We are also pleased to announce that Ariana Gehrig was recently hired as project manager for the CA-CRaFT program. She previously oversaw field research projects for Lundberg Family Farms working with rice, quinoa and cover crops. A northern California native, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Plant Science and Land Resource Management from CSU Chico.
Ariana can be reached at [email protected].
