The sustainability, competitiveness and economic success of the California Citrus Industry are directly related to the availability to the citrus growers of newly developed protected, patented, and licensed citrus varieties with important characteristics such as resistance or tolerance to pests and easy to peel, seedless, and flavorful fruit.
